Following up on our press release of 28 August 2012, which announced the convening of an extraordinary shareholders' meeting for 9 and 10 October 2012 on first and second call respectively, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena informs that the documents to be submitted to the shareholders are available at www.mps.it.
Included in the documentation are: the Directors' Reports on the two agenda items (i.e. granting Board authority to increase capital for up to a maximum amount of EUR 1 billion in exclusion of the pre-emptive rights of existing shareholders; and amendments to articles 12, 13, 14, 16, 17 and 27 of the Articles of Association); forms that shareholders may use for ordinary proxy voting; and information on the share capital amount, indicating the number and classes of shares it is divided into.
The notice of call, which was published today in the Italian financial daily Il Sole 24 Ore, is also available on our corporate website at www.mps.it.
