Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena informs that International ratings agency, Fitch, has affirmed its Long-term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at ‘BBB’ with stable outlook, its Short-term IDR at ’F3’ and its Support Rating Floor at ‘BBB’, thus confirming the Bank’s systemic importance. On the same occasion, however, it downgraded the Bank’s Viability Rating from ‘bbb-’ to ‘bb+’ and placed it on Rating Watch Negative.
