Siena, 2 July 2016 - With the consent of the Public Prosecutor Office, BMPS presented today the plea bargain instance in the criminal proceedings pending before the GUP of Milan, in relation to the allegations against the Bank under d. lgs. 231/2001 on the administrative liability of entities dependent from crime. The alleged offenses relate to the administrative liability of the Bank of false company communications, market abuse and obstacle to supervision and are only charged to former administrative heads for the period between 2009 and 2012.
With the application for plea, if accepted, the Bank leaves the process as a defendant administrative offense consequent to the crimes of its former directors, limiting the consequences to an administrative fine of EUR six hundred thousand and a confiscation by ten million Euros, without exposing to risk of further sanctions.
BMPS in the same process is also claimed damages exclusively against former directors and officers at the time.
