Financial press release

19/01/2017 20:45

With regards to quarterly results, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A. (the “Bank”) announces its financial calendar for 2017:

9th February Board of Directors – Approval of 2016 financial statements
2nd March Board of Directors - Approval of draft 2016 Annual Report
12th April Shareholders’ Meeting (single session) -- Approval of 2016 Annual Report
4th May Board of Directors – Interim Report on Operations – First Quarter 2017
28th July Board of Directors – 2017 Half-Year Report
27th October Board of Directors – Interim Report on Operations – Third Quarter 2017

Any changes to the calendar will be promptly communicated.

Following the recent amendments of the Consolidated Finance Law (Legislative Decree no. 58/1998) and the Regulations for Issuers (CONSOB Resolution no. 11971/1999) as part of the enforcement of the socalled Transparency Directive II (Directive 2013/50/EU), the requirement for listed issuers to publish interim statements (as at March 31 and September 30) has been removed, leaving to the issuers the choice on whether to communicate to the public, on a voluntary basis, periodic financial information in addition to the annual financial statements and the half-yearly report. With this regards, the Bank has decided, in terms of policy on additional periodic financial information, to publish, on a voluntary basis, interim statements as at March 31 and September 30 of each year, whose data consist of the interim report on operations approved by the Board of Directors, in consistency and continuity with previous quarters.
